Meet Director of Tax Advisory, Katrina Mabika

Born in Cardiff, United Kingdom, Katrina transferred with Deloitte and Touché to Zambia as senior manager in 2000. After nearly four years of managing Pembroke Tax Services as a sole proprietor, Katrina joined BDO as tax director in 2006. The merger enabled BDO to offer clients taxation consulting in addition to the company’s traditional tax compliance services. Katrina is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) UK.

What you should know.

Katrina has lived in Zambia for 18 years.

Favourite quote.

Key business insight.

Working in Zambia, I’ve had the chance to experience the Zambia Revenue Authority develop as a regulatory body conducting business using manual processes to where it is today, a digital organisation. What I’ve learned is that in a developing economy, companies must continue to innovate in order to keep pace with changing market conditions. When providing clients with tax advice, I endeavour to address their current business conditions and plan for their future needs.
